Job Summary

The position is a part of the Accounting, Reporting and Budget Controlling team supporting the Executive Management in providing timely and accurate financial and regulatory information in line with internal and external rules and regulations. The position holder will report to the Head of Accounting and Reporting.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Prepare, analyze and file regulatory reports to SNB, FINMA and external auditors
  • Support the daily reporting and calculation of several key ratios
  • Overview and control over dedicated accounting processes
  • Assist in the monthly, quarterly and year end closing process, including the preparation of the annual report and supporting the annual financial audit
  • Booking and verification of needed bookings to the general ledger
  • Review, evaluate and implement process improvements, as appropriate
  • Support the preparation of the quarterly group reporting package in accordance with IFRS
  • Preparation of tax declarations and submit the respective reports to the tax authorities and execute the payments
  • Work with IT, Middle office and other departments on various projects
  • Coordinating and executing test cases for software release updates affecting the Accounting and Reporting department
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Accounting & Reporting and represent other team members when needed

Your skills, experience and qualifications

  • Swiss / EU passport or valid Swiss work permit
  • Degree in Finance, Controlling, Accountancy or similar
  • At least 6 years’ experience in Finance function of a Swiss bank or a regulated financial service company, “big four” experience is an advantage
  • Profound Swiss accounting, regulatory reporting and tax knowledge
  • Well organized working style with attention to detail is a must
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and interact effectively across different departments
  • Proficient Excel skill is a must, deep experience with Avaloq and FiRe is a big plus
  • Self-discipline, motivation, initiative
  • Fluent English and German. Russian is an advantage
